The\npresence of the hall serves as an important milestone for the Minang\ncommunity in the diaspora as a centre for social, cultural, and communal\nactivities.<\/p>\n<p>The inauguration of the hall was marked by the signing of a\ncommemorative plaque by Andre Rosiade. The plaque reads:\n\u201cBismillahirrahmanirrahim. By the grace of Almighty Allah, the\nconstruction of the Minang Family Association Building in Labuan Bajo,\nWest Manggarai, has been inaugurated by the Chairman of the Central\nBoard of the Minang Family Association. He\nnoted that the contributions of migrants are significant to the economic\nmovement in the region.<\/p>\n<p>According to Andre, West Sumatra\u2019s economic growth remains around 3\nper cent, below the national average of more than 5 per cent.
