In efforts to ensure the project progresses according to targets as a\ncontinuation of the Padang-Sicincin rail line, Andre held a direct\nmeeting with the Head of BP BUMN and COO of Danantara, Dony Oskaria.<\/p>\n
Andre was accompanied by Hutama Karya\u2019s President Director,\nKoentjoro. The meeting discussed the latest developments in the\nconstruction as well as strategic steps to accelerate the project\u2019s\ncompletion.<\/p>\n
\u201cI met with the Head of BP BUMN, who is also COO of Danantara, Mr\nDony Oskaria, along with Hutama Karya\u2019s President Director, Mr\nKoentjoro, to report on the progress of the Sicincin-Padang toll road\ndevelopment plan,\u201d said Andre in a written statement on Wednesday\n(6\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
Andre emphasised that the construction of this toll road is not\nmerely an infrastructure project, but an important instrument for\nopening up regional access, accelerating the mobility of goods and\nservices, and enhancing the regional economy\u2019s competitiveness.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis toll road is not just about infrastructure, but also about\nopening access, accelerating mobility, and driving regional economic\ngrowth, particularly in West Sumatra,\u201d said Andre.<\/p>\n
Andre also invited all elements of society to provide support so that\nthis project can be completed soon and deliver tangible benefits.<\/p>\n
\u201cI request prayers and support so that this project can be finished\nand West Sumatra\u2019s economic growth can catch up with the national\neconomic growth,\u201d said Andre.<\/p>\n
According to him, solid collaboration between the government,\nstate-owned enterprises, and stakeholders is the determining factor for\nthe project\u2019s success.<\/p>\n
With strong synergy, Andre is optimistic that the benefits of this\ntoll road will soon be felt by the wider community, especially in\nreducing logistics costs and opening new economic growth centres in West\nSumatra.<\/p>\n
The construction of the Sicincin-Bukittinggi Toll Road is an\nimportant part of the Trans-Sumatra Toll Road network, which is expected\nto accelerate balanced development and strengthen inter-regional\nconnectivity on the island of Sumatra.<\/p>\n
In response, Danantara COO Dony Oskaria expressed full support from\nBP BUMN for accelerating the Sicincin-Bukittinggi toll road project.<\/p>\n
Dony emphasised that this project is one of the priorities in\npromoting connectivity and strengthening the regional economy.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe ensure that cross-party coordination runs optimally so that this\nproject can be completed according to targets and provide real impacts\nfor the community,\u201d said the former Commissioner of Garuda\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Hutama Karya\u2019s President Director Koentjoro affirmed his\ncompany\u2019s efforts as the project executor to maintain quality and\ntimeliness in construction.
