Ancol programs during holidays<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Marine recreational resort Ancol Dreamland in
\nNorth Jakarta is offering special programs for students during
\nthe current school holidays, an official said on Monday.<\/p>\n
\"We are organizing, among other things, an exhibition of
\ndecorative fish from June 30 to July 9 at the Gelanggang Samudra
\noceanic arena in cooperation with the Directorate General of
\nConservation of the Ministry of Forestry and Plantations and the
\nCity Public Works Agency,\" Ancol spokesman Mukhrijul Adil told
\nreporters at City Hall.<\/p>\n
\"We are also offering an entry ticket to Dunia Fantasi (Dufan)
\ntheme park or two entry tickets to Ancol's swimming pool or
\nGelanggang Samudra for every purchase of Rp 100,000 (US$11)
\nduring the decorative fish exhibition,\" he said in a written
\nstatement.<\/p>\n
Mukhrijul also said visitors could enjoy several performances
\ninvolving dolphins, walruses, orangutans, birds and other animals
\nduring the exhibition.<\/p>\n
\"On July 9, Dufan will present its own special programs during
\nthe school holidays. Performers from Studio Fantasi will stage
\nThe Emperor and His New Cloak operetta and Kahitna, musical group
\nwill perform as our guest stars,\" he said.<\/p>\n
\"There is also our latest simulation theater in Dufan, called
\nWINGS, where visitors can experience the feeling of being a
\npilot,\" he added.<\/p>\n
Mukhrijul hinted that the resort had improved its 5.5-
\nkilometer beach line, which stretches from east to west.<\/p>\n
\"Visitors can run, jog, or go cycling along our newly
\nrenovated seaside promenade while watching the sunset or
\nsunrise,\" he said.<\/p>\n
\"We are also holding aerobic exercises for visitors to
\nFestival Beach, featuring well-known instructors from 5 a.m. to 7
\na.m. on Saturdays and Sundays,\" he added, while saying that the
\nentrance ticket was only Rp 2,000 during the morning session.
