Jakarta (ANTARA) - Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Great\nInstitute, Syahganda Nainggolan, stated that the recent cabinet\nreshuffle carried out by President Prabowo Subianto is a form of power\nconsolidation.<\/p>\n
Syahganda, during a discussion titled \u2018Cabinet Reshuffle: Power\nConsolidation or Performance Optimisation?\u2019 in Jakarta on Thursday, said\nthat the move aims to strengthen the President\u2019s position amid\ninfluences of power that seek to destroy Indonesia.<\/p>\n
\u201cIf it\u2019s called consolidation, yes, it is consolidation. Why does the\nPresident need consolidation? Because of his battle against the\noligarchy\u2026 against powers that are destroying Indonesia, both from\nwithin and from outside,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He stated that in Prabowo\u2019s view, there are still unseen forces\ncapable of controlling the course of the state, referred to as the term\n\u201cdeep state\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe deep state, according to Prabowo, consists of forces that are\nnot visible in the state\u2019s game, but can control the state. This is both\nlocally and internationally,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
To counter this, Syahganda believes that consolidation through a\ncabinet reshuffle is necessary. He noted that this is also evident from\nthe President\u2019s decision to include activist Jumhur Hidayat in the\ncabinet, as Minister of Environment.<\/p>\n
According to him, Prabowo needs figures with a strong mass base and\nintegrity to confront hidden powers. He described the President\u2019s\ndecision as a step to build an ideological \u201calliance\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cBringing Jumhur into the regime\u2019s environment is certainly for\nPrabowo\u2019s interest in strengthening, forming alliances, so that their\nenergy, in physics theory, is how the resultant between Jumhur, who\nrepresents a progressive, ideological, revolutionary group, meets\nPresident Prabowo, who is also revolutionary,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, governance expert Anton Permana, who also participated as\na speaker in the discussion, said that in Indonesia\u2019s political system,\nreshuffles are a mechanism to maintain stability.<\/p>\n
\u201cBecause there is no dominant politics, what happens is coalitions.\nIn simple terms, political compromises occur to achieve stabilisation in\nrunning the government,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
It is known that President Prabowo conducted a reshuffle of the Merah\nPutih Cabinet and inaugurated several new officials at the State Palace\nin Jakarta on Monday (27\/4). This is the fifth reshuffle since Prabowo\ntook office.<\/p>\n
In the reshuffle, Prabowo inaugurated activist Jumhur Hidayat as\nMinister of Environment, replacing the previous official, Hanif Faisol.\nOn the same occasion, Hanif Faisol was inaugurated as Deputy Minister\nCoordinator for Food Affairs.<\/p>\n
In addition, the President inaugurated former Army Chief of Staff\n2021\u20132023, Dudung Abdurachman, as Presidential Chief of Staff, replacing\nMuhammad Qodari, who on that occasion was also inaugurated as Head of\nthe Government Communication Agency.<\/p>\n
