        "content": "<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Political communication analyst Hendri Satrio has\nsuggested that Bahlil Lahadalia could become a public favourite if he\nchanges the way he communicates publicly.<\/p>\n<p>In a video clip that went viral on TikTok, Bahlil appeared calm and\nrelaxed as he recounted his background and journey to becoming Minister\nof Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFrom his story, his life struggle is truly extraordinary, and\nreaching a political position like this makes it even more remarkable.\nIt can serve as an inspiration for those of us who come from difficult\nbackgrounds,\u201d said Hensa (his familiar name) in a statement in Jakarta\non Saturday.<\/p>\n<p>He praised Bahlil\u2019s communication style in the video, noting that the\nkind of calm, understated public communication displayed was what the\npublic appreciates.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf Bahlil\u2019s communication style becomes more courteous, composed and\ncalm, then it is entirely possible he will win over the public,\u201d Hensa\nsaid.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that Bahlil frequently speaks about his background and\npolitical struggles, likely with the aim of inspiring the public. Beyond\nthat, the Golkar Party chairman is also seen as offering solutions to\npublic policy issues.<\/p>\n<p>Nevertheless, he said Bahlil\u2019s manner of delivering messages and his\npublic communication tends not to side with ordinary people, frequently\ngenerating negative public sentiment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAt present, I see Bahlil\u2019s communication style as too representative\nof the elite, unlike when he tells the story of his struggles starting\nout as an ordinary citizen. That is what leads the public to hold\nnegative sentiment towards him,\u201d Hensa said.<\/p>\n<p>For this reason, he said Bahlil could win public hearts by changing\nhis communication approach.
