        "content": "<p>Anak Dalam tribe needs attention<\/p>\n<p>JAMBI, Jambi: An organization fighting for the rights of the<br>\nAnak Dalam tribe has called for the provincial legislature to do<br>\nmore to help improve the welfare of the indigenous tribe, which<br>\nlives in the hinterland of the province.<\/p>\n<p>\"Councillors in the province and the region only seem to think<br>\nabout their own interests, forgetting about this tribe, known<br>\nlocally as Kubu,\" Budhi Vrihaspathi Jauhari, the organization's<br>\nexecutive director, said here on Thursday.<\/p>\n<p>Budhi said only foreign organizations, and local non-<br>\ngovernmental organizations in cooperation with overseas<br>\ninstitutions, had done anything to help the Kubu tribe.<\/p>\n<p>He, however, lamented that certain groups had taken advantage<br>\nof the tribe for personal gain.<\/p>\n<p>He said that the tribe's settlement area in the Bukit Dua<br>\nBelas National Park was dwindling in size because of the rapid<br>\nexpansion of oil palm plantations in the district.--Antara<\/p>",
