        "content": "<p>AMRO wins more clients<\/p>\n<p>AMSTERDAM (Reuter): Dutch bank ABN AMRO NV said yesterday the<br>\nrecent currency turbulence in Asia had won it many new customers<br>\nin Southeast Asia as local investors opted for the security of a<br>\nbig-name international bank.<\/p>\n<p>ABN AMRO executive board chairman Jan Kalff, in Hong Kong for<br>\nthe annual IMF meeting, told reporters that the Dutch bank had<br>\nbenefited from a \"flight to quality\".<\/p>\n<p>\"Since the crisis broke out at the beginning of July our<br>\nclient roster in Thailand, Indonesia, Malaysia and the<br>\nPhilippines has grown by dozens of percent,\" an ABN AMRO<br>\nspokesman quoted Kalff as saying in Hong Kong.<\/p>\n<p>ABN AMRO spokesman Jules Prast said Kalff was referring to<br>\nlocal high wealth individuals, corporates and international<br>\nfirms.<\/p>",
