I\nam almost convinced that there is something very unusual about our\nbrother Teddy. There is something that should not be given too much\npower allocation,\u201d said Amien when met after the National Congress of\nthe Ummat Party in Sleman on Saturday night (2\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n
He mentioned that he had a good relationship with President Prabowo\npreviously. He also touched on democracy regarding his opinion that was\ndeemed to cause a stir.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have known Mr Prabowo for 10 years. I often stayed in Hambalang, I\noften stayed in Kertanegara, until late at night I would go home, and so\non, having coffee together. So, as for Mr Prabowo, in my opinion, back\nthen, there wasn\u2019t a single thread indicating that he was like Teddy\nIndra Wijaya,\u201d he emphasised.<\/p>\n
He considers his opinion to be part of democracy and guaranteed by\nlaw.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes, so that\u2019s how it is with me. First, I am certainly convinced\nthat democracy runs well if the freedom to express opinions guaranteed\nby our constitution is not restricted or suppressed,\u201d said Amien.<\/p>\n
\u201cWell, then, in a democratic country, people are allowed to have\nopinions. Contradicting the official ruler, contradicting other groups\nof people, and so on. But what is the point of conflict, the point of\ndifference, is that it concerns the fate of the nation,\u201d he\ncontinued.<\/p>\n
