        "content": "<p>Amien launches MPR website<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA: People's Consultative Assembly (MPR) Speaker Amien<br>\nRais officially launched on Wednesday a website, www.mpr.go.id,<br>\ndesigned to provide the public with information about the<br>\nlawmakers' activities.<\/p>\n<p>Amien said the website would support the creation of a<br>\ntransparent and responsive legislative body.<\/p>\n<p>\"The people can see what is being and what has been done by<br>\ntheir representatives,\" he said.<\/p>\n<p>The launching ceremony was marked with a seminar on \"E-<br>\nGovernment and the Performance of People's Representatives\"<br>\nfeaturing Ginandjar Kartasasmita, Jimly Ashidiqie and<br>\nAstragraphia director Paulus Bambang as speakers.<\/p>\n<p>Amien said the launching of the website would help with the<br>\ndissemination of information from the MPR Annual Session starting<br>\non Nov. 1.<\/p>\n<p>\"It is hoped that the new website will satisfy the public's<br>\nneed for better and faster access to information,\" he said. --JP<\/p>",
