        "content": "<p>Amex to instruct trainers<\/p>\n<p>JAKARTA (JP): American Express Company (Amex), a U.S. charge<br>\ncard company, will hold four-days of instruction here next week<br>\nfor trainers in tourism customer service.<\/p>\n<p>Bill Pardos, general manager of Amex Indonesia, told reporters<br>\nhere yesterday that 30 people from various tourism-related<br>\norganizations had been selected to participate in the training.<\/p>\n<p>Upon completion of their education, the local trainers will be<br>\nassigned to instruct other trainers. They, in turn, will train<br>\nsome 60,000 front-liners, such as receptionists, bell boys and<br>\nroom service officials, over the next few years.<\/p>\n<p>According to Pardos, a group of instructors from British<br>\nColumbia will conduct the education process.<\/p>\n<p>He said that because thousands of tourists who visit Indonesia<br>\nare customers of Amex, the company decided to help the government<br>\nimprove services in the tourism industry.
