He\nexplained that the technical training programme for converting\nfuel-powered motorcycles to electric ones, organised by the Ministry of\nEnergy and Mineral Resources through PPSDM KEBTKE, is a strategic step\nto address this need. \u201cThis programme may seem small, with limited\nparticipant quotas and phased implementation, but it plays a determining\nrole in building the foundation of the conversion ecosystem,\u201d he said.\nHowever, according to Hendro, the ambition to convert 120 million petrol\nmotorcycles is not a simple target. In his calculation, a large capacity\nat the implementation level is needed to achieve it. \u201cIf one mechanic\ncan convert 10 motorcycles per month, then hundreds of thousands of\nmechanics are needed to approach the 120 million unit target. This\nfigure may not be precise, but it is sufficient to illustrate the real\nscale of the challenge,\u201d he revealed. Technically, said Hendro, electric\nmotorcycles have a simpler system compared to internal combustion\nengines. However, this does not automatically make the conversion\nprocess easy without adequate expertise. Therefore, mechanic training is\nconsidered a crucial factor in supporting the conversion programme. The\ntraining programme, which covers regulatory, administrative, and\ntechnical practice aspects, provides not only theoretical but also\napplicable knowledge. \u201cParticipants not only understand how to convert\nmotorcycles but also how to ensure that the conversion results are safe\nand meet standards,\u201d said Hendro.<\/p>",
