REPUBLIKA.CO.ID, JAKARTA – Iran’s Ambassador to Indonesia, Mohammad
Boroujerdi, has emphasised that his country has emerged victorious after
more than 40 days of war against the United States and Israel, with
peace negotiations set to commence soon in Islamabad, Pakistan.

The Ambassador views this victory as forcing the US to accept the
10-point ceasefire demands proposed by Tehran as the basis for the
upcoming negotiations.

“Iran has succeeded in compelling America to accept the 10 conditions
it demanded. Iran has demonstrated to the world that the US, albeit
reluctantly, has accepted those terms,” Boroujerdi stated during the
launch event of a commemorative book for the late Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei in Jakarta on Saturday.

“Thanks be to God Almighty, today the Islamic Republic of Iran has
achieved its victory. Islam has triumphed over its enemies,” the Iranian
Ambassador added.

Boroujerdi noted that Iran had thwarted the US-Israel desire for a
swift war, which they attempted by directly assassinating Supreme Leader
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

However, the Ambassador said, Iran was able to counter the attacks
launched by the two countries up to the 40th day.

He stated that Iran’s counterattacks had devastated 17 US-Israeli
military bases and crippled the Zionist defence system. Iran was also
able to send retaliatory strikes to cities in Israel.

Through its success in restraining itself from the relentless
US-Israel attacks so far, Iran proposed ten ceasefire conditions as a
gesture of good faith to end the war.

According to the Iranian Ambassador, his side did not expect the US
to accept the conditions demanded by Iran.

Boroujerdi emphasised that, in line with the conditions proposed by
Tehran, the US must halt attacks against Iran and its allies.

Meanwhile, Iran’s Deputy Foreign Minister Majid Takht-Ravanchi stated
that the 10-point framework proposed by his side has been accepted as
the basis for future negotiations with the United States, according to
Iranian state media as reported by Anadolu news agency on Friday
(10/4).

“Iran has always welcomed diplomacy and dialogue,” he said, while
stressing that negotiations must not serve as a pretext for new
aggression.

He also rejected any ceasefire that would allow the opposing side to
rearm itself.

The 10-point framework includes, among other things, recognition of
Iran’s right to enrich uranium, the lifting of US sanctions, the
withdrawal of US forces from the Middle East, and the ending of
hostilities on all fronts, including in Lebanon.

https://jawawa.id/newsitem/ambassador-claims-iran-victorious-1775962243
"
Okusi Associates
https://okusiassociates.com" }
