However, amid dynamic market
conditions, investors still need to understand their financial goals,
risk profiles and the legality of products before committing their
capital.

Certified Financial Planner (CFP) Lolita Setyawati said public
investment trends are shifting. Whereas investors previously chased
quick profits, growing numbers now consider whether an investment
matches their financial goals, risk profile and the transparency of fund
management.

“When starting to invest, the most important thing is to know
yourself — understand your investment objectives, your risk tolerance
and how the chosen product works,” said Lolita.

Responding to these needs, Amartha has introduced Amartha Prosper,
including its Grassroots Growth Series (GGS), which allows the public to
invest while supporting productive financing for women-led MSMEs in more
than 50,000 villages across Indonesia.

Amartha’s Chief Funding Officer, Julie Fauzie, said investment can
deliver not only potential returns but also wider economic impact.

“Through Amartha Prosper, people can invest while supporting
productive financing for women-led MSMEs in rural areas, so that
investment also benefits the wider economy,” she said.

Together with Lolita Setyawati, Amartha has shared five steps for
investing wisely: ensuring one’s basic financial position is secure;
understanding investment goals and risk profile; choosing legal products
with clear mechanisms; starting with small amounts invested
consistently; and considering the social impact of how investments are
channelled.

Lolita also reminded investors to use “cold money” — not emergency
funds or borrowed money.

“The principle of choosing an investment is simple: legal and
logical. Investors must understand where their funds are placed, how
they are managed, and where the potential returns come from,” she
said.

Amartha Prosper offers several investment profiles — Balanced-Flex,
Balanced, Progressive and Dynamic — which can be matched to each
investor’s character and risk tolerance.

Over more than 16 years, Amartha has disbursed more than Rp47
trillion in financing to more than four million women-led MSMEs in
Indonesia. In 2025, this financing helped create around 90,000 new jobs,
86 per cent of which were filled by women.

Julie added that investments channelled into the real sector, such as
MSMEs, not only help investors diversify their portfolios but also
broaden access to capital for small business owners and foster more
inclusive economic growth.
",
