        "content": "<p>Amid ongoing social and economic changes, academically accomplished\nstudents who can understand issues in their entirety and propose\ncontextual solutions are needed. The Organisation for Economic\nCo-operation and Development (OECD), through its Future of Education and\nSkills 2030 initiative, emphasises the importance of strengthening\nstudent agency\u2014the ability of learners to take initiative and be\nresponsible for creating value for society.<\/p>\n<p>In response to this need, Amartha.org has launched the Amartha\nFellowship Bootcamp as part of the Beasiswa Amartha Cendekia programme.\nThe initiative aims to equip university students in STEAM fields with\nleadership skills and a mindset to understand and actively participate\nin creating changes that impact their communities.<\/p>\n<p>Aria Widyanto, Chairman of amartha.org, said: \u2018Through amartha.org\nand the Beasiswa Amartha Cendekia programme, we want to equip students\nnot only to excel academically but also to grow as leaders in their\ncommunities and to solve problems in their surroundings. We believe that\nlearning on campus becomes meaningful when it is directly connected to\nreal-world problems in society. Therefore, this bootcamp is designed as\nboth a space for reflection and a space for action, so that they have\nthe courage and capacity to deliver real and sustainable impact.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Amartha Fellowship Bootcamp, attended by 60 scholarship recipients\nand lasting four days, is the culmination of mentoring and coaching the\nfellows have undergone over the past year. The bootcamp is designed with\na participatory and reflective leadership approach, encouraging\nparticipants to develop systemic thinking and empathetic abilities to\nunderstand the interconnections of various social issues\ncomprehensively.<\/p>\n<p>In the programme, participants are introduced to mindfulness\npractices as a foundation for building resilient, mindful, and\nimpact-oriented leadership. The bootcamp also features business leaders\nand professionals from various sectors who share experiences and\ninspiration with the fellows.<\/p>\n<p>At the end, participants will be challenged to design prototypes for\nsocial solutions to the issues they encounter. Through hands-on learning\nin the community, the fellows are invited to understand real-world\nchallenges on the ground and translate them into social initiatives\nrelevant to community needs. The prototypes developed in groups will\nreceive initial funding from Amartha to support early-stage\nimplementation.<\/p>\n<p>Zian Nora Berliana, a recipient of the Amartha STEAM Fellowship Batch\n3, said the bootcamp helped her understand interpersonal skills as a way\nto create solutions. \u2018This bootcamp is exciting and opened my\nperspective on leadership. The most memorable for me were the sessions\non how to speak and listen deeply. Here I learned that a leader is\nsomeone who can listen and understand in full so that the solutions\noffered are more relevant and humane.\u2019<\/p>\n<p>Beyond educational funding and the Amartha Fellowship Bootcamp,\nBeasiswa Amartha Cendekia provides support such as personal development\nprogrammes, mentoring with mentors from the professional community, and\nfunding for student social projects. By 2025, the Beasiswa Amartha\nprogramme has disbursed educational funds totalling Rp10 billion to more\nthan 800 students in Indonesia through three scholarship schemes:\nBeasiswa Amartha Cendekia, Amartha STEAM Fellowship and Amartha Frontier\nFellowship.<\/p>\n<p>The Beasiswa Amartha Cendekia programme will reopen application for\nIndonesia\u2019s youth who want to develop leadership capacity, social\ninnovation, and new skills.
