Alva has launched a new proportional battery subscription plan called "Bebas Pas" for users of its N3 Next Gen electric motorbike, offering pricing flexibility based on the previous month's mileage to address consumer concerns about fixed costs during low-usage periods. Under this scheme, fees range from Rp125,000 for under 800 km to Rp200,000 for 801-1,800 km per month, making it more affordable and appealing to potential switchers to electric vehicles. This innovation aims to boost adoption of the N3 model, which already accounts for over 50% of Alva's sales and is priced at Rp15.5 million with the new plan.

BINTARO - Alva has officially introduced its latest battery
subscription scheme titled “Bebas Pas” or Proportional Fun According to
Needs for users of the N3 Next Gen electric motorbike. Unlike the
previous “Bebas” scheme, which charged a flat fee of Rp250,000 per
month, Bebas Pas offers pricing flexibility based on the user’s mileage
from the previous month. Alva Chief Executive Officer Purbaya Pantja
explained that this scheme is a response to consumer feedback who felt
burdened by having to pay the full fee when the motorbike was rarely
used, such as during holiday periods. Under the Bebas Pas scheme, the
battery rental fee is divided into several tiers. If the motorbike usage
is below 800 km per month, consumers only need to pay Rp125,000.
However, if the usage is in the range of 801 km to 1,800 km, the
subscription fee becomes Rp200,000 per month. This amount is still
considered economical, as 800 km per month equates to nearly 10,000 km
per year. “I think the consumer feedback is fair. Because if they don’t
use it, the battery’s life cycle doesn’t decrease much either. So we
also have to give some of that back to the consumers,” said Purbaya.
With this option, Alva hopes to attract more consumers who are still
hesitant to switch to electric motorbikes due to the issue of fixed
monthly costs. “That’s why this Bebas Pas programme was born, which we
think is very unique. Because we keep thinking about what’s best for the
customer,” he added. As a note, the Alva N3 itself is currently the
backbone of sales, contributing more than 50 percent of the company’s
total sales volume. With the Bebas Pas scheme, the N3 is priced at
Rp15.5 million.
",
