        "content": "<p>The Law Enforcement Sub-directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police\nTraffic Directorate has taken firm action against the driver of a black\nToyota Alphard luxury car who ran a red light and used an improper\nvehicle registration plate in the Bundaran HI area, Central Jakarta. \u201cWe\nhave conducted a clarification and taken action by issuing a ticket to\nthe driver of the black Alphard who ran a red light on Jalan MH Thamrin,\naround the Bundaran HI, heading north,\u201d said Head of the Traffic Law\nEnforcement Sub-directorate of the Jakarta Metro Police, AKBP Ojo\nRuslani, in Jakarta on Saturday. He explained that the action was a\nfollow-up to the traffic violation that occurred on Wednesday (22\/7) at\naround 12.13 p.m. Western Indonesian Time. \u201cOfficers then summoned the\ndriver, with the initials RPW, for questioning on Friday (24\/7) evening\nat the Traffic Law Enforcement Sub-directorate office of the Jakarta\nMetro Police,\u201d Ojo said. He stated that from the physical inspection and\ndocument verification, it was discovered that the vehicle was using a\nfake number plate. The vehicle\u2019s original registration number is B 97\nELI, registered under the name Dr.\u00a0Elly Herawati Pengabean. \u201cMeanwhile,\nthe number plate D 1828 XHQ that was installed at the time of the\nviolation is actually registered to a silver Daihatsu Gran Max from West\nBandung Regency,\u201d Ojo explained. Besides issuing a ticket, officers from the Traffic Law\nEnforcement Sub-directorate also seized the fake number plate D 1828 XHQ\nas evidence. Previously, the Jakarta Metro Police Traffic Directorate\nhad announced plans to summon and clarify the matter with the owner of\nthe viral Toyota Alphard after it ran a pedestrian crossing light and\nwas suspected of using a fake number plate in Central Jakarta. \u201cI will\nsummon the Alphard owner for clarification, and then summon the security\nguard involved in the altercation with the driver. The summonses are\nscheduled for Friday (24\/7) and Monday (27\/7),\u201d Ojo said in a statement\nin Jakarta on Thursday (23\/7). He revealed that the investigation was\nconducted following a viral social media post showing the luxury car\nrunning a pedestrian crossing light.
