Alleged thief burnt alive<\/p>\n
SEMARANG: Hadi Nuralim, 25, was burned alive by Basah village,
\nin Banyumas regency, Central Java, after he was caught trying to
\nsteal a motorcycle on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Two alleged accomplices, Darsiman and Ratno, were saved from
\nthe mob by police. Both are in intensive care at Margono Hospital
\nin Purwokerto.<\/p>\n
Antara reported that the three were about to steal a
\nmotorcycle belonging to Rojikun. However neighbors discovered
\nthem.<\/p>\n
Shouts of warning woke up residents who immediately went after
\nthe three.<\/p>\n
After the three were caught they were taken to a field by
\nhundreds of villagers.<\/p>\n
A used tire was splashed with gasoline and placed around
\nHadi's neck. A match was then ignited and tossed onto Hadi.<\/p>\n
Police came minutes later and saved the other two from being
\nburned alive.<\/p>\n
Banyumas Police chief Adj. Comm. Imam Basuki regretted the
\nmob's violence.<\/p>\n
"We will thoroughly investigate who provoked the mob to take
\nthe law into their own hands," he said.<\/p>",
