The case has now\nmoved from preliminary inquiry to full investigation stage. \u2019 Currently,\nthe case has been elevated from preliminary inquiry to full\ninvestigation following a case review at the DIY Police Criminal\nInvestigation Directorate,\u2019 said Kulon Progo Police Residency\u2019s Criminal\nInvestigation Unit chief, Iptu Subahan Afuan Ardhi, to journalists on\nThursday, 28 May 2026. Subahan explained that during initial interviews,\ninvestigators have summoned over a dozen individuals and relevant\ninstitutions as witnesses. The Criminal Investigation Unit will continue\nto summon witnesses and seek expert testimony to determine suspect\nstatus. \u2019 Currently, around 12 people have been interviewed, including\nvictims, their spouses, village officials, and representatives from\nrelevant departments and IRDA,\u2019 he added. Subsequently, the village head filed a\ncounter-complaint against the resident. Ngadiman confirmed receiving Rp\n300,000 from a resident identified as A, which went into his personal\naccount rather than the village\u2019s official funds.
