Alleged pedophile Robot's dossier to be completed soon<\/p>\n
JAKARTA (JP): Central Jakarta Police have been working hard to
\ncomplete a dossier of the alleged pedophile and killer of 10 boys
\n-- Siswanto, alias Robot -- since the results of his DNA tests
\ncame in.<\/p>\n
\"We will send the dossier to the Central Jakarta Public
\nProsecutor's office before Oct. 8,\" Central Jakarta Police Chief
\nLt. Col. Abubakar Nataprawira said yesterday.<\/p>\n
Abubakar will be replaced by Lt. Col. Muhammad Ibrahim, who is
\ncurrently the chief of the North Jakarta Police precinct. The
\nhanding over ceremony is scheduled for Oct. 8.<\/p>\n
Abubakar, who will be promoted to colonel and will become the
\nPalembang city police chief in South Sumatra, said that the
\npedophile case dossier is therefore his priority. \"We have enough
\nevidence,\" he said.<\/p>\n
A forensic expert from Cipto Mangunkusumo General Hospital,
\nAbdul Mun'im Idris, earlier said the suspect's DNA matched with
\nthe DNA in sperm found in one of the murdered boys.<\/p>\n
Samples<\/p>\n
The hospital took samples of the 32-year-old scavenger's blood
\nand spittle on Aug. 8 for examination. The hospital had earlier
\nexamined the sperm found in the body of Asikin. The body of the
\n14-year-old street singer was found on July 5.<\/p>\n
Asikin is one of four boys whose bodies were found in the
\nPondok Kopi area in East Jakarta. Four bodies were found in the
\ndefunct Kemayoran market in Central Jakarta. The remaining two
\nwere found in Kroya and Purwokerto in West Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Abubakar said the results of the test would reinforce the
\ncharges against the suspect.<\/p>\n
\"Besides that, we also have evidence, including razors and
\nrope that the suspect admitted to having used in the killings,\"
\nhe said.<\/p>\n
Robot admitted to having killed 12 boys between 1994 and 1996,
\nbut police have only found 10 bodies. He killed each boy by
\nstrangling them with a rope. He then cut each victims' stomach
\nwith a razor.<\/p>\n
The suspect sodomized the shoeshine and street singer boys --
\nbetween nine and 16 years old -- in the second floor of the Senen
\nmarket in Central Jakarta before killing them.<\/p>\n
Robot was arrested on July 27 at a railway station in Tegal,
\nCentral Java.<\/p>\n
He who was born in Ketandan village, Batang regency in Central
\nJava, and has lived in a slum area at Gaplok market, Senen
\ndistrict in Central Jakarta since he was six years old. (jun)<\/p>",
