        "content": "<p>All the President&apos;s ministers make for a diverse team<\/p>\n<p>The Jakarta Post, Jakarta<\/p>\n<p>President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono has good reason to call his<br>\nteam of ministers the United Indonesia Cabinet, perhaps because<br>\nthey represent the country&apos;s diverse sociopolitical landscape.<\/p>\n<p>Susilo said upon revealing his Cabinet lineup that he had<br>\ntried to accommodate the aspirations of his supporters, and<br>\nacknowledged he could not satisfy all parties.<\/p>\n<p>Susilo was nominated as a presidential candidate by the<br>\nDemocratic Party (PD), the Crescent Star Party (PBB) and the<br>\nIndonesian Justice and Unity Party (PKPI). In the second round of<br>\nthe presidential election, the National Awakening Party (PKB),<br>\nthe Prosperous Justice Party (PKS) and the National Mandate Party<br>\n(PAN) joined forces to support him. The United Development Party<br>\n(PPP) joined late when it abandoned the coalition that was to<br>\nform an opposition bloc in the House of Representatives.<\/p>\n<p>To some people, the composition of the Cabinet signals new<br>\nhope. But, to others, it simply reflects a power sharing deal<br>\nbetween Susilo and political parties that supported his bid for<br>\nthe presidency.<\/p>\n<p>Some facts about the Cabinet:<\/p>\n<p>* Total members: 36, four of whom are women (Meutia Hatta, Mari<br>\nE. Pangestu, Siti Fadilah Supari, Sri Mulyani Indrawati)<br>\n* Old faces: There are five ministers who served in the previous<br>\ngovernment of president Megawati Soekarnoputri (Hassan Wirajuda,<br>\nYusril Ihza Mahendra, Purnomo Yusgiantoro, Bachtiar Chamsyah,<br>\nHatta Radjasa), and three under president Abdurrahman Wahid (Alwi<br>\nShihab, Bambang Sudibyo, Juwono Sudarsono).<br>\n* Military\/Police: Adm.
