The West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police (Polda NTB) has prepared a
vehicle storage service for residents who wish to travel home for the
Eid holiday. Vehicle storage can be arranged by visiting the nearest
police office.

“At the district police stations, we provide a vehicle storage
service for motorcycles or cars if people want to travel home to their
respective regions,” said West Nusa Tenggara Regional Police Chief Irjen
Edy Murbowo on Thursday (12 March 2026).

The vehicles will be parked in the yards of the district and regional
police stations. This vehicle storage service is provided free of
charge.

“We will socialise this information so residents are aware. The yards
of the regional and district police stations will be used as parking
areas for vehicles belonging to residents who will travel home to their
respective regions,” he added.

The requirement for vehicle storage is that vehicle owners must be
present when depositing their vehicle for data recording.

In addition, complete vehicle identification details will be
recorded. This is to prevent errors during future collection.

“When collecting, it must be the same person. If they cannot come,
they must provide a power of attorney. If they cannot provide that, they
can video call the officers to confirm that the person collecting is
indeed their authorised representative, so officers do not make a
mistake,” he explained.

Members of the public who intend to travel and leave their homes are
also urged to report this. The purpose is to ensure that homes are
monitored whilst unoccupied.

“We also appeal to the public, if you want to travel home, report it
to the community police. So we know for certain that the house is empty.
This becomes a patrol object for our members,” he concluded.

3,650 Combined Personnel Deployed

A total of 3,650 combined personnel are being deployed in Operation
Ketupat Rinjani 2026 for security during Eid al-Fitr 1447 AH in West
Nusa Tenggara. What is
certain is that in our region, Nyepi observance typically begins with
the ogoh-ogoh parade. We have already prepared our security plan, and
after that we will continue with security measures during Nyepi at
several points,” he explained.
",
