ALatieF gets $60m loan<\/p>\n
HONG KONG (Reuter): PT ALatieF P&O Port Development Co (APPDC)
\nhas completed a US$60 million term loan facility with six
\nfinancial institutions, arranger HSBC Investment Bank's Singapore
\nbranch said yesterday.<\/p>\n
The borrower APPDC is a joint venture company between P&O
\nAustralia, which is wholly owned by the Peninsular & Oriental
\nSteam Navigation Co and PT ALatieF Nusakarya Corp.<\/p>\n
The facility is guaranteed by PT Freeport Indonesia (PTFI),
\nwhich operates extensive copper and gold mining operations at the
\nGrasberg mine in Irian Jaya, Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The loan has a maturity of five years and can be extended to
\neight years. It pays a margin of 90 basis points over the
\nSingapore Interbank Offered Rate.<\/p>\n
Proceeds of the facility will be used to refinance the
\nborrower's existing bank borrowings.<\/p>\n
CBA Asia, Hongkong and Shanghai Banking Corp's Jakarta branch,
\nFirst National Bank of Chicago, National Westminster Bank's
\nSingapore branch, PT IBJ Indonesia Bank and Royal Bank of
\nScotland's Singapore branch participated in the facility.<\/p>",
