        "content": "<p>The main factors driving national economic growth performance in the\nsecond quarter include investment and a number of incentives rolled out\nby the government.<\/p>\n<p>Jakarta (ANTARA) - Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs\nAirlangga Hartarto has predicted that national economic growth in the\nsecond quarter of 2026 will still be able to hold above the 5 per cent\nlevel.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cStill above 5 (per cent),\u201d said Airlangga in response to\njournalists\u2019 questions at the Office of the Coordinating Ministry for\nEconomic Affairs in Jakarta on Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>According to Airlangga, the main factors driving national economic\ngrowth performance in the second quarter include investment and a number\nof incentives rolled out by the government.<\/p>\n<p>He noted that investment demand in the previous quarter was\nrelatively high. However, many business players are still asking the\ngovernment to resolve domestic business obstacles through the\ndebottlenecking programme carried out by the Strategic Government\nProgramme Acceleration Task Force (P2SP).<\/p>\n<p>In line with the government\u2019s efforts to improve the investment\nclimate, Airlangga said investment will remain the main component\ncontributing to national economic growth.<\/p>\n<p>For the record, the investment component, or gross fixed capital\nformation (GFCF), grew solidly by 5.96 per cent in the first quarter of\n2026. This figure was driven by government investment, including\nconstruction related to national priorities, as well as private\ninvestment.<\/p>\n<p>The national economy recorded growth of 5.61 per cent year-on-year in\nthe first quarter of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Besides investment, Airlangga said government spending will also be a\npillar of growth for the remainder of 2026.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn the third and fourth quarters, one of the things being pushed is\ncertainly government spending and investment,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>State spending in the first semester of 2026 has been disbursed at\nRp1,656 trillion, growing 17.8 per cent compared with the same period a\nyear earlier.<\/p>\n<p>Central government spending dominated, with realisation of Rp1,298.6\ntrillion, an increase of 29.4 per cent.<\/p>\n<p>In line with this, investment realisation throughout the first\nsemester of 2026 reached Rp1,010.6 trillion, growing 7.2 per cent\ncompared with the same period a year earlier.<\/p>",
