        "content": "<p>Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto has\nsaid that improving productivity is one of the key indicators for\nreaching the six percent economic growth target in 2027.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cProductivity gains are important, particularly in human resource\ndevelopment,\u201d Airlangga said at the SUAR Forum 2026 in Tangerang,\nBanten, on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>He added that the government is driving these efforts through a\nnumber of strategic programmes, such as the National Internship\nProgramme for fresh university graduates and the National Vocational\nTraining scheme, which is expected to reach at least 200,000\nparticipants from various backgrounds.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cTherefore, the government is pushing this year to continue the\ninternship programme for 150,000 new university graduates, and secondly,\nvocational training is targeted to reach 250,000 people,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, Airlangga said the government, through Danantara\nIndonesia, is also partnering with UK-based chip design company Arm\nLimited to accelerate the mastery of semiconductor technology in\nIndonesia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe are working with Arm from the UK, and this partnership with Arm\nis expected to help produce around 15,000 new engineers in\nsemiconductors or chip design. So this is one of the investments\nDanantara is making in this sector,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, Airlangga said productivity improvement efforts are\nbeing carried out in tandem with investment growth, improved export\nperformance, and logistics efficiency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cInvestment is expected to grow faster than GDP and is expected to\nfocus on high value-added projects, and these projects should also\nutilise domestic value chains, especially those related to capital\ngoods,\u201d Airlangga explained.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThen, we continue to push exports with added value supported by\nlogistics efficiency,\u201d he added.<\/p>",
