        "content": "<p>Haryo Limanseto, spokesperson for the Coordinating Ministry for\nEconomic Affairs, expressed hope that the incentive in the form of the\nelimination of import duties on aircraft spare parts and Liquified\nPetroleum Gas (LPG) used as petrochemical feedstock would ease cost\nburdens. In this way, businesses can sustain their operations, improve\nefficiency and remain competitive.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThis policy is part of the Government\u2019s efforts to maintain economic\ngrowth momentum through strengthening the real sector,\u201d Haryo said in a\nstatement in Jakarta on Saturday, 25 July 2026, quoted by Antara.<\/p>\n<p>The incentive is part of the Second Semester Economic Stimulus\nPackage for 2026. For industries focused on Maintenance, Repair, and\nOperations\/Overhaul (MRO), a 0 per cent import duty tariff applies to\nimported goods and materials used in aircraft maintenance and repair\nprocesses. Through this incentive, companies\u2019 operational costs can be\nsuppressed, making domestic aircraft maintenance services more\ncompetitive.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the 0 per cent import duty on LPG imports is expected to\nhelp the petrochemical industry produce raw materials at a more\nefficient cost. Ultimately, the benefits can also be felt by various\nother industries that use petrochemical products as raw materials.<\/p>\n<p>The policy is regulated under PMK Number 50 of 2026 concerning the\nThird Amendment to PMK Number 26\/PMK.010\/2022. This PMK was established\non 15 July 2026 and comes into force 7 days after its promulgation.\nSpecifically for LPG imports as petrochemical industry feedstock, the 0\nper cent import duty tariff applies for six months through tariff codes\n9845.10.00 and 9845.20.00.<\/p>\n<p>The implementing provisions for the import duty facility for the MRO\nindustry are further regulated in Minister of Industry Regulation\n(Permenperin) Number 16 of 2026. This regulation sets out the criteria\nand procedures for utilising the fiscal incentive in the form of a\nreduction in import duty tariffs granted to Aircraft Repair and\nMaintenance Industry Service Companies that import goods and\/or specific\nmaterials used for aircraft repair and maintenance industry\nservices.<\/p>\n<p>The criteria for petrochemical industry companies that can utilise\nthe special scheme for LPG imports as raw material are regulated in\nMinister of Industry Decision Number 1944 of 2026. LPG imports with HS\ncodes 2711.12.00 and 2711.13.00 by companies meeting these criteria\nreceive the 0 per cent import duty facility through tariff codes\n9845.10.00 and 9845.20.00.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThrough production cost efficiency, industry players are expected to\nhave greater room to invest, increase production capacity and strengthen\ncompetitiveness,\u201d said Haryo.<\/p>",
