ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania, USA (Reuter): Air Products and
\nChemicals Inc said its venture with PT Astra International, PT
\nUnited Airproducts Indonesia, will invest over US$30 million to
\nbuild, own, and operate a air separation facility at Maspion
\nGroup's facility in Gresik, East Java, Indonesia.<\/p>\n
The plant -- slated to come on-stream in mid-1997 -- will
\nprovide gaseous oxygen to an electric arc furnace, Air Products
\nsaid. In cooperation with Maspion, the venture also will build a
\nnitrogen pipeline system to serve other customers in the
\nsurrounding area.<\/p>\n
In addition, the plant will have the capacity to supply over
\n300 metric tons per day of liquid products to the merchant market
\nin the Surabaya, Gresik, and East Java areas, Air Products said.<\/p>",
