        "content": "<p>Air Philippines adds routes<\/p>\n<p>MANILA (Dow Jones): Air Philippines Corp. has moved the<br>\nscheduled launch of its international flight operation to Jan.<br>\n2000 from end-1999, Air Philippines President Sherwin Gatchalian<br>\nsaid Thursday in a television interview.<\/p>\n<p>Air Philippines, the country's second biggest carrier after<br>\nPhilippine Airlines Inc., received from Manila's Civil<br>\nAeronautics Board in March a license to fly overseas after<br>\nPhilippine Airlines was forced to reduce its overseas flights due<br>\nto its financial woes and a rival airline, Grand International<br>\nAirways, suspended operations.<\/p>\n<p>By this month, Air Philippines is expected to secure<br>\npermission from foreign aviation regulators, including the U.S.<br>\nFederal Aviations Authority, to fly to several destinations in<br>\nAsia and the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Gatchalian said Air Philippines intends to establish<br>\ninternational routes from Cebu and Davao provinces to Asian<br>\ncountries such as Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Brunei and<br>\nJapan.<\/p>",
