"summary": "Indonesia's government is framing its upcoming artificial intelligence regulation as an enabler to close the gap between high AI usage and low productivity gains. A ministry official noted that while 80 percent of Indonesians have used AI, its contribution to productivity is only 13 percent, prompting priority measures to strengthen the national AI ecosystem. The presidential regulation, currently under expedited processing, is expected to be released in 2026 and includes governance to prevent misuse such as deepfakes and digital fraud.",
