        "content": "<p>Hong Kong (ANTARA) - An artificial intelligence (AI) platform\ndeveloped by the Education University of Hong Kong (EdUHK) has been\nshown to enhance self-directed learning and academic performance among\nits student users, according to study results announced by the\nuniversity on Tuesday (25\/8).<\/p>\n<p>According to the study, the AI platform named EASE achieved these\npositive results through personalised practice and assessment tailored\nto each student\u2019s needs.<\/p>\n<p>The EASE study by EdUHK was conducted from June 2025 with at least\n2,200 primary and secondary school students as participants.<\/p>\n<p>Focusing on mathematics education, the platform creates a\npersonalised learning approach complemented by real-time feedback\nfeatures, automated marking, error analysis, and learning reports.<\/p>\n<p>The platform also supports teaching decisions while fostering\nproactive error-correction habits and self-directed learning.<\/p>\n<p>Head of EdUHK\u2019s Department of Curriculum and Instruction, Yan Zi,\nsaid that EASE, equipped with a design grounded in educational theory,\nis able to foster self-directed learning, positioning AI as a student\nassistant, and holds deep value for cultivating sustainable learning\nhabits and error correction.<\/p>",
