        "content": "<p>Democratic Party Chairman Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) has\nexplained the reason his father, Indonesia\u2019s sixth president Susilo\nBambang Yudhoyono (SBY), could not attend the annual People\u2019s\nConsultative Assembly (MPR) session today, Friday (14\/8). He said his\nfather is currently undergoing a medical examination abroad. AHY, who is\nalso the Coordinating Minister for Infrastructure and Regional\nDevelopment, stated that before attending the joint session with the\nMPR, House of Representatives (DPR), and Regional Representatives\nCouncil (DPD) at the parliament complex on Friday morning, he had a\nvideo call with SBY. He noted that the series of health checks is\nproceeding well, although several stages are still ongoing. \u2018I just had\na video call with him. Alhamdulillah, there is a series of\nexaminations,\u2019 AHY told reporters on the sidelines of entering the\nplenary session room at the parliament complex, Central Jakarta.\nAccording to AHY, the results of the first examination showed good\ncondition, while follow-up checks are still being conducted, and the\nfamily asks for prayers that the entire process goes smoothly. \u2018The\nfirst examination results were good, but there are several subsequent\nstages still in process. So please pray for Mr SBY\u2019s health and that he\ncan continue his activities,\u2019 said AHY. Harman revealed that SBY would not\nattend several events in the series of the 81st Independence Day\ncelebrations because he is having a health check in the United States.\nHe said SBY is likely to undergo the health check until the end of\nAugust 2026. Consequently, SBY will not attend the Annual Session of the\nMPR RI at the parliament complex or the 81st Independence Day Ceremony\nat the Merdeka Palace. \u2018He is having a check-up in America, until the\nend of the month,\u2019 said Benny at the parliament complex, Jakarta,\nTuesday (11\/8).
