        "content": "<p>Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang has won the ASEAN Energy\nAwards 2025 in the ASEAN Energy Efficiency and Conservation Best\nPractices Awards - Green Building (Large Category). The event was held\nin Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, recently.<\/p>\n<p>The General Manager of Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang,\nSulistyo Yulianto, welcomed the achievement of this award. According to\nhim, it represents the highest recognition in Southeast Asia for\ninnovations, energy efficiency, renewable energy management, and the\napplication of sustainable technologies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe success of Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang is inseparable from\nthe commitment to promoting the eco-airport concept, prioritising energy\nefficiency and environmental conservation in airport operations,\u201d\nSulistyo stated.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang has implemented\nvarious initiatives, from optimising energy use and utilising natural\nlighting to managing environmentally friendly buildings.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, the energy efficiency initiatives implemented include the\nuse of solar power plants (PLTS), LED lights, and eco-friendly\nmaterials. Ahmad Yani Airport in Semarang has also utilised sleep mode\nfeatures on lifts, elevators, and travelators.<\/p>\n<p>A 100 kWp PLTS is installed on the canopy roof of the administration\nbuilding parking area and the Main Power House (MPH) building roof. The\nPLTS is capable of supplying the electricity needs of the Ahmad Yani\nAirport Administration Building.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the data we have collected, in 2025 the 100 kilowatt-peak\n(kWp) PLTS generated energy of 132,930 kWh used to meet various\nelectricity supply needs,\u201d Sulistyo said.<\/p>",
