        "content": "<p>Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Ahead of the announcement of non-subsidised\nfuel prices expected tomorrow, Deputy Chairman of the People\u2019s\nConsultative Assembly from the National Mandate Party faction, Eddy\nSoeparno, has called on the government to anticipate the migration of\nnon-subsidised fuel users to Pertalite, which is a subsidised fuel. For\nEddy, uncontrolled migration to subsidised fuel would only burden the\nstate budget further due to the potential for misdirected energy\nsubsidies. \u201cThis is the moment to reform subsidies to only those in need\nand ensure that government assistance reaches those who deserve it.\nTherefore, comprehensive anticipation is needed so that price\ndisparities do not cause migration to subsidised fuel,\u201d said Eddy, as\nquoted in a press release on Tuesday (31\/3\/2026). He recounted his experience as chairman of the\nEnergy Commission in the DPR in a previous period, where simulations\nwere conducted for providing fuel and 3 kg LPG subsidies directly to\nsubsidy recipients based on more accurate data. \u201cIf this proposal is\ncontinued, we can significantly save on energy subsidies and\ncompensation, as there will no longer be subsidised fuel and 3 kg LPG\nprices in the market.
