Jakarta (ANTARA) \u2014 Inter-provincial (AKAP) bus arrival and departure\nactivity at the Kampung Rambutan Terminal in East Jakarta has been\nobserved to increase ahead of the Lunar New Year celebrations and the\nholy month of Ramadan 1447 Hijri.<\/p>\n
\u201cOver the past few days, passenger activity has begun to increase.\nThis is expected to continue rising ahead of the Lunar New Year and into\nthe month of Ramadan,\u201d said Kampung Rambutan Bus Terminal Chief Revi\nZulkarnain in Jakarta on Sunday.<\/p>\n
Based on operational data for the day from 12:00 AM to 1:00 PM\nWestern Indonesian Time (WIB), a total of 41 buses arrived carrying 436\npassengers. For departures, there were 35 buses with a total of 368\npassengers.<\/p>\n
Increased public mobility is becoming evident as the Lunar New Year\napproaches and early homeward travel ahead of Ramadan begins.<\/p>\n
Many passengers are taking advantage of this period to return to\ntheir hometowns or visit family. Despite the increase, terminal\noperations have so far been running smoothly and orderly. All\ntransportation services continue to operate in accordance with passenger\nsafety and comfort procedures.<\/p>\n
Terminal management continues to conduct intensive monitoring of\nfleet and passenger movements. This is being done to anticipate surges\nin travel during the holiday period and the Ramadan homecoming season,\nwhich is expected to take place in the coming weeks.<\/p>\n
