        "content": "<p>The Kutai Timur Regency government, along with the Kutim Police\nDistrict and local leadership forum (Forkopimda), conducted a sudden\ninspection of essential goods at Sangatta Utara Traditional Market on\nMonday (25 May). The move aims to ensure price stability and sufficient\nstock ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH\/2026 CE.<\/p>\n<p>The inspection was led by Kutim Regency\u2019s Assistant II for Economy\nand Development, Noviari Noor, accompanied by Kutim Police District\nDeputy Commander, Commissioner Ahmad Abdullah, and included\nrepresentatives from the Industry and Trade Agency (Disperindag),\nMilitary District Command (Kodim 0909\/KTM), Sangatta Naval Base (Lanal),\nand the Kutim Public Prosecutor\u2019s Office.<\/p>\n<p>Kutim Police District Chief, Assistant Commissioner Fauzan Arianto,\nexplained that the monitoring was a preventive measure against price\nspikes and potential shortages. Regarding the rise in chili prices, he\nnoted traders\u2019 preference for local chillies.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe team found that chili prices had risen due to disruptions in\nexternal supplies. Traders are now preferring local chillies for their\nfreshness and longer shelf life,\u201d Fauzan stated in a separate\nconfirmation.<\/p>\n<p>The police stressed continued collaboration with local government to\nmonitor food distribution channels and prevent hoarding that harms the\npublic. The circulating Rupiah in the market is expected to remain\nstable through this monitoring intervention.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to focusing on food supplies, the joint team also ensured\nthe energy sector faced no disruptions. Checks were conducted\ncomprehensively from LPG depots to petrol stations in Sangatta\nUtara.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cOverall, the supply of staple goods, subsidized LPG, and other\ncommunity needs ahead of Eid al-Adha 1447 AH in Kutai Timur Regency\nremains secure, sufficient, and controlled.
