The suspect never
carried out direct checks on the source of the coal as required by the
applicable technical guidelines.

Anang said the documents should only have been issued if other
obligations were met, one of which was the validity of the cargo.

For his actions, suspect HS is charged under Article 603 in
conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the
Criminal Code, in conjunction with Article 18 of Law Number 31 of 1999
on the Eradication of Corruption as amended and supplemented by Law
Number 20 of 2001 on Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 on the
Eradication of Corruption.

For the purposes of proving the case, suspect HS will be detained for
the next 20 days until 1 September 2026.

“The public prosecution team at the Central Jakarta District
Attorney’s Office will prepare the indictment and transfer the case file
to the Corruption Court at the Special Class IA Central Jakarta District
Court,” said Anang.
",
