The Attorney General's Office has named a fourth suspect, a private sector individual identified as AYS, in the ongoing corruption investigation into the Free Nutritious Meals programme at the National Nutrition Agency. AYS is alleged to have illegally manipulated the partner registration system to monopolise meal provision points. The case has already implicated former top officials of the agency.

Investigators from the Directorate of Investigation at the Junior
Attorney General for Special Crimes have officially named a new suspect
from the private sector, identified by the initials AYS, in the alleged
corruption case concerning the management of the Free Nutritious Meals
programme at the National Nutrition Agency. Director of Investigation
Syarief Sulaeman Nahdi confirmed that AYS was named a suspect on
Saturday, 6 June 2026. AYS is suspected of being involved in
manipulating the partner registration system for this national strategic
project. The investigating team has named another suspect, AYS, a
private party, as a suspect, Syarief stated at the Attorney General’s
Office in Jakarta on Thursday. Syarief explained that AYS’s role began
with a request from suspect SS, former Deputy Head of the National
Nutrition Agency, to find programme partner providers. During the
process, SS allegedly provided unlawful special access to AYS to
intervene with the partner verification team. This access was used by
AYS to map vacant communal kitchen points and cancel the registration
status of prospective Nutritional Fulfilment Service Units that had
previously been approved on the official portal. After carrying out
unilateral cancellations, AYS entered new service unit parties
affiliated with him, even though the system registration had actually
been closed. SS unlawfully gave access to AYS to intervene with the Free
Nutritious Meals partner verification team so he could identify vacant
kitchen points and manage prospective service units, Syarief explained.
In return for this project monopoly and data manipulation, AYS allegedly
handed over a sum of money to SS. For his actions, AYS has been charged
under Article 12 letters a and b of the Corruption Crime Law, as well as
Article 605 paragraph 2 and Article 606 of the Criminal Code. AYS is
currently detained for the next 20 days at the Salemba Detention Centre
branch of the South Jakarta District Prosecutor’s Office. To date, the
Attorney General’s Office has named a total of four suspects in the
corruption case concerning the management of the free meals programme,
namely former Head of the agency Dadan Hindayana, his two former
deputies Sony Sonjaya and Lodewyk Pusung, and the newest suspect from
the private sector, AYS.
",
