The Attorney General\u2019s Office (Kejagung) is forming a special team to\nhandle the corruption and money laundering (TPPU) case involving former\nJunior Attorney General for Special Crimes (Jampidsus) Febrie Adriansyah\n(FA).<\/p>\n
Head of the Legal Information Centre (Kapuspenkum) Anang Supriatna\nstated that the team would be formed by Acting Jampidsus Rudi Margono\nand would comprise specific individuals to minimise conflicts of\ninterest with FA. The formation of the team follows the transfer of the\ncase from the National Police.<\/p>\n
Anang explained that the team would study the docket, examine\nexisting investigation reports and evidence, and link them to the\nalleged criminal acts. He assured that despite the transfer, the AGO\nwould continue to coordinate closely with police investigators to\nguarantee independence and professionalism. The Corruption Eradication\nCommission (KPK) will also be involved to supervise the handling of the\ncase, and House of Representatives Commission III will oversee the\ninvestigation process.<\/p>\n
Anang emphasised that the AGO upholds the principle of caution and\nthe presumption of innocence, stating that these principles remain\nparamount until a final and binding court decision is reached. The\npolice previously announced the transfer of the case to the AGO on\nSaturday, based on an agreement between the two institutions as a form\nof law enforcement synergy.
