        "content": "<p>JAKARTA \u2013 A fire broke out at the Afterhours bar and billiards venue\nin Poins Square, Cilandak, South Jakarta, on Monday 25 May 2026. The\nincident is believed to have been triggered by a gas leak in the kitchen\non the second floor of the building. The fire was reported to\nfirefighters at around 7.20pm WIB. \u201cThe burning was at the caf\u00e9, yes.\nThere was a gas leak, yes,\u201d said South Jakarta Fire Department Duty\nOfficer Anwar Kasim when interviewed at the scene on Monday. South\nJakarta BPBD Task Force Head Kendar explained that the fire began when\nan employee was replacing a gas cylinder in the kitchen. \u201cWhile\nreplacing the gas cylinder, the gas leaked uncontrollably and caused a\nfire,\u201d Kendar told Kompas.com via WhatsApp on Monday. The fire initially\nbroke out in the kitchen area located in a corner of the second floor.\nHowever, the flames quickly spread to other parts of the building. As\nthe fire intensified, employees called firefighters at around 7.17pm\nWIB. As a result of the incident, employee Eka sustained burns and was\nrushed to hospital by colleagues. \u201cThe janitorial staff member was taken\nto hospital for medical treatment,\u201d Kendar said. Several employees are\nstill in shock following the incident. \u201cWe don\u2019t know yet if operations\nwill continue, as there are no instructions yet, and we\u2019re still in\nshock,\u201d said Indira (not her real name), an employee, to Kompas.com on\nMonday.<\/p>",
