And that strait will be reopened\nsoon. That strait will be reopened as soon as it\u2019s signed. It could be\ndone in two or three days,\u201d Trump told reporters. When asked to clarify\nhis remarks, Trump confirmed he meant \u201ctwo or three days,\u201d not weeks.\n\u201cWe have a very good chance to get it done. Frankly, we could have had\nit done within an hour, if we wanted to. I think we are very close to a\nvery good, strong and important deal,\u201d the US president added. On\nFebruary 28, the US and Israel launched joint strikes on a number of\ntargets inside Iran, including in Tehran, causing damage and civilian\ncasualties. Iran subsequently retaliated by striking Israeli territory\nand US military facilities in the Middle East. On April 7, Washington\nand Tehran announced a ceasefire. However, follow-up talks held in\nIslamabad ended without a breakthrough. The negotiation process between\nIran and the US is currently ongoing.
