        "content": "<p>The British Ambassador to ASEAN, Helen Fazey, has stated that the\nUnited Kingdom is celebrating five years of partnership as an ASEAN\ndialogue partner by strengthening cooperation in the political,\nsecurity, economic, social, and cultural fields. \u201cWe are working on the\ngreen transition, supporting ASEAN in developing the ASEAN power grid,\nbut also in Indonesia, working on nature-based solutions that help\nprevent flooding in northern Java,\u201d Ambassador Fazey said on the\nsidelines of the King\u2019s Birthday Party in Jakarta on Wednesday evening.\nThrough economic integration programmes, she noted, the UK is supporting\nsustainable infrastructure development by sharing skills and expertise,\nas well as cooperating with ASEAN countries on the implementation of\nupdated trade agreements. She also mentioned that the UK and ASEAN are\nconducting a geo-economic dialogue to discuss the impact of global\neconomic and trade relations on society, from both a political and\neconomic perspective, along with opportunities for cooperation to\naddress them. Regarding the Digital Economy Framework Agreement,\nAmbassador Fazey welcomed the deal reached by ASEAN, which is scheduled\nto be published at the end of the year. \u201cThe UK provided some support at\nthe start of the process, helping to train the negotiators as they\nentered that process, and we look forward to supporting ASEAN and\nindividual member states as they implement the agreement,\u201d she added. On\nthe situation in Myanmar, the ambassador stated, \u201cSo, we continue to\nbilaterally remind the regime in Myanmar about that, and I think we are\nvery much aligned with ASEAN.\u201d The British Embassy in Jakarta hosted the\nKing\u2019s Birthday Party with the theme \u201cUK celebrates Innovation and Five\nYears as an ASEAN Dialogue Partner\u201d on Wednesday evening.
