        "content": "<p>A number of female prospective passengers are once again crowding the\nspecial women\u2019s carriage of the Electric Rail Train (KRL) at platforms\n3-4 of Manggarai Station, South Jakarta, on Wednesday (29\/4\/2026). This\ncrowding is occurring alongside the normalisation of operations on the\nCikarang line following the train accident that took place earlier this\nweek. For the first time since the collision incident between the KA\nArgo Bromo Anggrek and KRL at Bekasi Timur Station on Monday (27\/4), KRL\njourneys on that line are running normally again. The accident caused\nsevere damage, including to the special women\u2019s carriage, and resulted\nin 16 fatalities and 88 injuries. Entering a new normal phase on the\nline known as the blue line, female passengers are beginning to return\nto using the special women\u2019s carriage. During the evening rush hour,\naround 5:30 PM WIB, the women\u2019s carriage was observed to be filled again\nwith passengers heading to Bekasi. On the other hand, discussions about\nchanging the position of the women\u2019s carriage have emerged in the wake\nof the accident. The Minister for Women\u2019s Empowerment and Child\nProtection (PPPA), Arifah Fauzi, has proposed placing the special\nwomen\u2019s carriage in the middle of the train formation to minimise the\nrisk of impact in the event of an accident. However, the President\nDirector of PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero), Bobby Rasyidin, has\nstressed that safety aspects are not differentiated by gender. He\nexplained that the existence of the special women\u2019s carriage is\nprimarily intended to provide a sense of security from potential sexual\nharassment inside the train.
