The world's only dining experience entirely inspired by the

The concept for Planet Hollywood was originated by Keith
\nBarish, the film producer responsible for "The Fugitive",
\n"Sophie's Choice" and "9 1\/2 Weeks". In 1989, he met restaurateur
\nRobert Earl, and the two quickly struck up a partnership. Soon
\nafterwards, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Sylvester Stallone and Bruce
\nWillis joined as partners.<\/p>\n
The first Planet Hollywood was launched in New York in October
\n1991 with a glittering star-studded party. While here in Jakarta,
\nspecial bleachers were set up to accommodate thousands of people
\nat the "Planet Hollywood Open Air Extravaganza".<\/p>\n
Following 16 launches in major cities, Planet Hollywood has
\nproved to be a resounding success, enjoying endless worldwide
\nmedia attention and constant queues.<\/p>\n
Planet Hollywood Jakarta is located in Jakarta's central
\nbusiness area, conveniently next to Kartika Chandra Hotel. The
\n2,000 square meter venue will seat 380 diners with an additional
\n100 persons in the spacious bar area, making it one of Jakarta's
\nlargest restaurant establishments.<\/p>\n
Planet Hollywood features an extensive signature memorabilia
\ncollection, which has now become the restaurant's trademark. The
\nJakarta venue also features the dinosaur head from Jurrasic Park,
\nMichael Keaton's flying cape from Batman Returns, The Cyborg from
\nTerminator 2, Sylvester Stallone On Ice from Demolition Man, the
\nAlien head from the movie Aliens, Kevin Costner's costume from
\nRobin Hood: The Prince of Thieves and one of the dresses Lucille
\nBall wore on I Love Lucy, just to mention a few.<\/p>\n
The menu echoes other Planet Hollywood restaurants with fresh
\ndishes that have become integral to the new Californian classic
\ncuisine, including unusual pastas, exotic salads, burgers,
\npizzas, smoked and grilled fish and meats, as well as a range of
\ndesserts. A selection of Indo-Californian dishes are also on
\noffer, as well as daily specials.<\/p>\n
Planet Hollywood Jakarta's merchandise shop is situated in the
\nrestaurant itself. Items on sale include T-shirts, caps,
\nsweatshirts, jackets and watches.<\/p>\n
