        "content": "<p>Finance Minister Purbaya Yudhi Sadewa has revealed the government\nwill deploy sophisticated machines capable of counting cigarette\nproduction at each company, connected directly to the Ministry of\nFinance\u2019s central office. \u201cSoon, Customs and Excise will run machines to\ndetect cigarette counts automatically, linked to the centre,\u201d Purbaya\nsaid during a state budget press conference at the Ministry of Finance\u2019s\nheadquarters in Jakarta on Friday. Purbaya stated the machines will be\nimplemented starting next week. The target is for all automatic\nproduction counting machines at every Tobacco Products Industry (IHT)\ncompany to be completed within the next six months. According to him,\nwith these machines, there will no longer be any leakage of excise\nrevenue in the IHT sector. \u201cLater, the cigarette count at the factory\nwill automatically come directly here, to Customs and Excise, so there\nwill be no more leakages; the detection is quite sophisticated,\u201d Purbaya\nsaid. \u201cIncluding misuse and misrepresentation, that can be detected\ndirectly by the new system,\u201d he stressed. Through this system, Purbaya\nis confident that Customs and Excise revenues will be able to grow\nrapidly.
