Promoting cooperation through China Summit<\/p>\n
In conjunction with the China-ASEAN Expo, the first China-
\nASEAN Business and Investment Summit will also be held at the
\nNanning International Convention & Exhibition Center on Nov. 3
\nand Nov. 4.<\/p>\n
As many as 800 businesspeople are expected to participate in
\nthe gathering. With the theme, \"Promote Mutually Beneficial
\nCooperation, Pursue Common Development\", the two-day gathering
\nwill feature the State Leaders Forum, and the Business and
\nInvestment Leaders Forum.<\/p>\n
The chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of
\nInternational Trade (CCPIT), Wan Jifei, People's Government of
\nGuangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region chairman Lu Bing and ASEAN
\nsecretary-general Ong Keng Yong are scheduled to deliver
\nwelcoming speeches.<\/p>\n
Wu Yi, vice premier of the State Council, PRC, leaders and
\nrelevant ministers of ASEAN countries are expected to share their
\nopinions with the business representatives.<\/p>\n
Topics to be discussed on the second day of the forum include
\n\"Understanding and Mutual Benefit: Solid Foundation for Free
\nTrade\" and \"Managing Changes, Fostering Innovation\".<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Chinese Ambassador to Indonesia Lu Shumin said the
\nsummit would serve as a medium through which businesspeople from
\nChina and ASEAN countries could exchange views on business and
\ninvestment-related issues, as well as interact with their
\ncounterparts and deepen cooperation.<\/p>\n
The summit is co-organized by the China Council for the
\nPromotion of International Trade, the Ministry of Commerce of
\nPRC, and the People's Government of Guang Xi Zhuang Autonomous
\nRegion.<\/p>",
