This is because there is not any unity in terms of perception and goals.<\/p>\n
\u201cI want us to be in one perception in order to make a breakthrough,\u201d he said when opening the National Bureaucracy Reform Workshop for Public Service Improvement at the Bidakara Hotel, Jakarta, on Monday (12\/3).<\/p>\n
According to Taufiq, the efforts of bureaucracy improvement must be started by arranging institutional matters and state apparatus human resources.<\/p>\n
In addition, bureaucracy reforms also need a long time.<\/p>\n
\u201cOur bureaucracy\u2019s condition is very complex, so problems can\u2019t be solved in a short time,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The urgent matter that should be reformed soon is the public service system.<\/p>\n
To improve this, each unit must apply the ISO 9001:2000 quality management system.<\/p>\n
According to Taufiq, the current number of public service units that have received ISO certification has reached more than 2,000.<\/p>\n
This number is far higher than that of three years ago, when the number was only 50 units.<\/p>\n
