        "content": "<p>Social media personality Adam Deni Gearaka, 30, is in legal trouble\nonce again after damaging a shop in North Jakarta and brandishing an\nairsoft gun to intimidate the owner. Police arrested Deni following the\nincident on 17 June at the Yummy Coin shop on Jalan Terusan Kelapa\nHybrida, Sukapura, Cilincing. The victim, the shop owner, reported the\nmatter via the 110 emergency service after Deni also damaged his parked\ncar the following day. Officers arrived at the scene, examined evidence,\nand interviewed eight witnesses before taking Deni into custody. \u201cWe\nhave secured one suspected perpetrator, identified as ADM, who is now\nbeing held at the North Jakarta Metropolitan Police headquarters,\u201d said\nthe deputy chief of the criminal investigation unit. Police also seized\nan airsoft gun allegedly used by Deni to threaten people at the\nlocation. \u201cWe secured a firearm, or what we can analyse as an airsoft\ngun, which was carried or controlled by the suspect,\u201d the officer\nstated. During questioning, Deni claimed his actions were driven by\nanger after the shop owner scolded his close female friend, a former\nemployee of the shop. \u201cHe did not accept it. His friend felt she was\nscolded and shouted at by the owner. That is why he went to the crime\nscene,\u201d the officer explained. Deni reportedly lifted his shirt to\nreveal the airsoft gun tucked behind his back and said, \u201cDo you know\nwhat this is?\u201d to threaten a witness. He told police he brought the\nweapon purely out of emotion and to intimidate. Deni has been charged\nunder Article 306 of the 2023 Criminal Code for possessing a dangerous\nobject suspected to be a firearm, which carries a maximum penalty of 15\nyears in prison, and Article 521 for property damage, which carries up\nto 2.5 years. The victim suffered losses estimated at 15 million rupiah.\nPolice confirmed they have not received any request for restorative\njustice from Deni or his legal representatives. Deni was previously\nsentenced to four years in prison and fined 1 billion rupiah in 2022 for\nillegally uploading confidential documents belonging to a member of\nparliament, and was released on parole in August 2025.<\/p>",
