Activists don't meet summons<\/p>\n
JAKARTA: Two activists expected to be questioned about
\ncontroversial politician Sri Bintang Pamungkas did not show up at
\nthe Attorney General's Office yesterday.<\/p>\n
Risna Salim and Harto David are members of the Indonesian
\nDemocratic Union Party (PUDI) which Bintang chairs.<\/p>\n
The Attorney General's Office also wants three other
\nactivists, Yopi Tomasoa, Fahlali Mukir and Petrus Latumalia, but
\ncannot find them.<\/p>\n
"They were summoned to the Attorney General's Office to
\ntestify because they allegedly know about PUDI's activities,"
\nSuhartoyo said.<\/p>\n
Bintang has been detained at the prosecutors' office since he
\nwas arrested March 5 on subversion charges over PUDI's
\nactivities.<\/p>\n
PUDI Deputy Chairman Julius Usman and Secretary-General Saleh
\nAbdullah were arrested on the same day on the same charges.<\/p>\n
The government said Bintang's "sins" included sending Idul
\nFitri cards displaying PUDI's agenda: to boycott the May 29
\nelection, reject President Soeharto's reelection and prepare a
\n1998 post-Soeharto era. PUDI also wanted to replace the 1945
