Acehnese nabbed for marijuana trafficking<\/p>\n
JAMBI: Jambi police arrested two more Acehnese people on
\nThursday for trying to traffic a total of 12 kilograms of
\nmarijuana from Aceh to Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Jambi Provincial Police Chief Brig. Gen. Toto Soewali said
\nhere on Friday that the two suspects and the drugs were netted in
\nseparate places in the Batanghari regency.<\/p>\n
\"One was nabbed from a passenger bus PMTOH while another one
\nwas taken from another passenger bus\", said Toto.<\/p>\n
He said that over the last two months, the police had foiled
\nthree drug smuggling cases by using a drug dog from National
\nPolice Headquarters in Jakarta.<\/p>\n
Previously, the police had arrested two Acehnese men,
\nidentified as Zainuddin, 25, and Amin, 29, for trying to smuggle
\n50 kilograms of marijuana from Aceh through the province to
\nJakarta.<\/p>\n
Toto said the police would continue its operation to halt the
\nrampant smuggling of banned drugs through the province.<\/p>\n
\"The 247-kilometer trans-Sumatra Highway in the province is
\nquite prone to trafficking of banned drugs and narcotics such as
\nmarijuana, shabu-shabu and ecstasy pills,\" he said. --Antara<\/p>",
