        "content": "<p>The Aceh Regional Police (Polda Aceh) have announced that a police\nofficer involved in the distribution of narcotic cartridges, or\n\u2018vibrating vapes\u2019, containing etomidate in Bireuen Regency has been\ndishonourably discharged (PTDH).<\/p>\n<p>Head of Public Relations of Polda Aceh, Commissioner Joko\nKrisdiyanto, stated in Banda Aceh on Tuesday that the officer,\nidentified by the initials RF, was dismissed following a hearing of the\nPolice Professional Code of Ethics Commission (KKEP).<\/p>\n<p>\u201cBased on the results of the KKEP hearing, the officer, Abripda RF,\nhas been sanctioned with PTDH,\u201d said Joko Krisdiyanto.<\/p>\n<p>RF was arrested during a narcotics case operation in Bireuen Regency\non 25 July 2026. The arrest also resulted in the seizure of 142 units of\ncartridges or vibrating vapes.<\/p>\n<p>Forensic laboratory tests conducted by the North Sumatra Regional\nPolice confirmed that the vape cartridges contained etomidate, which is\nclassified as a Group II narcotic.<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the PTDH sanction against RF, Polda Aceh also imposed\na sanction on First Inspector FJ regarding the execution of the arrest\nof the narcotics offender in the same case in Bireuen Regency.<\/p>\n<p>Joko Krisdiyanto explained that during the operation, First Inspector\nFJ was deemed to have acted in a manner not in accordance with standard\noperating procedures (SOP), specifically by being insufficiently\ncautious in taking police action.<\/p>\n<p>This action caused a ricochet that resulted in the death of a person\nlater identified as a member of the Indonesian National Armed Forces\nserving at the Bireuen Military Police Sub-Detachment, Private Galuh\nNugraha.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cFirst Inspector FJ has been given an administrative sanction in the\nform of a demotional transfer for 10 years,\u201d said Joko Krisdiyanto.<\/p>\n<p>The mid-ranking police officer reminded all personnel, in line with\nthe directive of Aceh Police Chief Inspector General Ruddi Setiawan, not\nto attempt to use, let alone be involved in the distribution of, any\ntype of narcotic.<\/p>\n<p>Any personnel proven to be involved in the abuse or distribution of\nnarcotics will face strict sanctions in accordance with applicable\nregulations, including PTDH.<\/p>\n<p>Polda Aceh will also conduct regular checks on personnel, both\nthrough urine tests and inspections of vapes used. This measure is part\nof efforts to ensure there is no narcotics abuse within the internal\nenvironment of the Indonesian National Police.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAnyone proven to have committed narcotics abuse will be dealt with\nfirmly, even if the personnel are involved.
