Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Aceh Besar Regency Government has allocated\nfunds amounting to Rp20 billion in the 2026 fiscal year to support the\ndevelopment of strategic infrastructure, such as roads and irrigation,\non the outermost island.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe development of infrastructure on the outermost island, namely\nPulo Aceh Subdistrict, is a form of the local government\u2019s commitment to\naccelerating development in the island region,\u201d said Aceh Besar Regent\nMuharram Idris in Pulo Aceh on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
He stated that he had inspected several construction sites in Gampong\nLhoh, Gampong Serapong, and the irrigation area in Pulau Breuh, Pulo\nAceh Subdistrict.<\/p>\n
\u201cAll these projects are in the tender preparation stage. We aim to\ncomplete their implementation this year,\u201d said Muharram.<\/p>\n
He detailed that the development includes the road section from\nGampong Lhoh to Gampong Lampuyang, spanning 650 metres with a width of\nfour metres, complete with shoulders on both sides, with a budget\nceiling of Rp3.76 billion.<\/p>\n
Furthermore, the road section from Gampong Gugop to Serapong will be\nbuilt over 1,750 metres with similar specifications, with a budget of\nRp7.84 billion.<\/p>\n
In addition to road infrastructure, the Regent also reviewed plans\nfor the construction and rehabilitation of irrigation networks, covering\nthe rehabilitation of a 573-metre floor, repairs to a 213-metre channel,\ninstallation of 600 metres of water supply pipes, and the construction\nof one borehole unit in Gampong Ulee Paya, with a total budget of Rp570\nmillion.<\/p>\n
\u201cWith this irrigation channel development, the water needs to\nirrigate 46 hectares of rice fields in two villages can be met. We hope\nthis will encourage farmers to increase productivity to two harvests per\nyear,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
He emphasised that besides these projects, there are several other\nphysical developments that strengthen the budget in Pulo Aceh\nSubdistrict.<\/p>\n
The Regent requested that all keuchik\/village heads and village\nofficials participate in overseeing the implementation of these projects\nto ensure they proceed according to plan.<\/p>\n
\u201cI ask the keuchik and village officials to actively monitor this\nwork. Ensure the quality is maintained and the benefits are truly felt\nby the community,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
The Head of the Public Works and Spatial Planning Department (PUPR)\nof Aceh Besar Regency, Syahrial Amanullah, stated that all technical\nstages of the projects have been meticulously prepared, from planning to\nprocurement processes.<\/p>\n
\u201cTechnically, we have prepared all supporting documents. Currently,\nit\u2019s just the tender process, and we are optimistic that physical\nimplementation can start soon according to the set schedule,\u201d said\nSyahrial.<\/p>\n
He added that his side will continue to conduct strict supervision to\nensure the quality of the work meets the determined standards.<\/p>\n
